NASTAR Divisions

What Division Will I Compete In?
If you compete as an Alpine Skier, NASTAR will place you in one of four divisions based on your handicap - either the Platinum Division, Gold Division, Silver Division or Bronze Division (NEW FOR THE 2005-06 SEASON!). If you only have one race day, your Resort Ranking handicap will determine whether you are placed in the Platinum Division, Gold Division, Silver Division or Bronze Division. If you have two to four race days, your State Ranking handicap will determine whether you are placed in the Platinum Division, Gold Division, Silver Division or Bronze Division. If you have five or more race days, your National Ranking handicap will determine whether you are placed in the Platinum Division, Gold Division, Silver Division or Bronze Division. If you compete as a Snowboarder, Telemarker or Physically Challenged Racer, NASTAR will place you in one of three divisions according to your discipline regardless of your handicap - either the Snowboard Division, Telemark Division or Physically Challenged Division. There are no sub-divisions in these disciplines although Physically Challenged Racers are differentiated according to their disability.
