Activities
Activities range from monthly
Skiers' Night Out (SNO) at the best clubs and restaurants around
town, to organized trips that are widely diversified in cost and location.
The last few years has seen the ski club sponsoring trips to places as
close as the Illinois River or as far away as Innsbruck, Austria
and Interlaken, Switzerland. Mode of travel includes sleeper buses,
aircraft, canoes, rafts, cruise ships, windjammer sail boats, and cars. We
regularly backpack in most of the western mountain ranges and have an
active bowling league in the summer. For details about current activities please click on the latest issue of
the Lift Lines newsletter or click on the
calendar. You may also contact the activities
chair,
Chuck Harrington.
General Monthly Meetings
The
general membership of the Tulsa Ski Club meets the second Tuesday of each
month (except September) at the Elks Lodge, 5335 S. Harvard, from 8 pm to 9 pm, preceded by a
Social Hour at 7 pm. Guests are welcome. During
September, instead of the monthly meeting, the Club holds its
annual ski trip sign-up picnic on the third Sunday of the month. Check the calendar each month for
details.
Skier's
Night Out (SNO)
Skier's
Night Out is a monthly social held the third Thursday of each month at
various locations, typically restaurants. The time is 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Details are posted on the home page for upcoming events. Check the
calendar for dates, times, and places.
The Tulsa Ski Club has trips
year round for all ages and most interests. Join us on
ski trips from December through March and to
other exciting locations during the summer and
fall.
Sports
TSC
doesn't just ski. We also play golf, volleyball, softball, bowling...the list
goes on.
Volunteers
TSC believes strongly in
supporting our community and our volunteers regularly support other
nonprofits. Look for volunteer opportunities each year with Mayfest,
Oktoberfest, the United Way Sandblazer volleyball tournament, the Annual
MS-150 Bike Ride, and much more.
Social Committee
The social committee is
always looking for members with great ideas about our events or new
events. We are always needing help with the different activities and invite
members to volunteer to help with them. Email
Chuck Harrington.
