The Weatherman says the Artic Blast is coming. Do you know what you get when combining moisture from the West and Artic Air from the North? If you guessed snow, you would be correct. Winter has been slow to come but it looks to be arriving soon.
Are you signed up for the Flatlands Ski Association Trip in January?
Let me entice you with some fun facts about Snowmass:
If that is not enough, how about some details about why Flatlands is a great trip:
- Everyone on the trip/team works together for a common goal, winning.
- You haven’t lived until someone rang a cowbell while yelling your name.
- If you indulge, Boulevard Beer is a sponsor. Free beer at the Welcome Party and Awards Banquet.
- You might win a medal. Everyone who skis helps the Club get points including the brand new beginners. You could help the club get 5 points, 10, points, or even 100 points. When was the last time you were worth 100 points?
Regardless of which trip you go on, don’t waste the Winter. You only get older.
Did you hear about the Winter Games? No boring old Christmas Party for us.
Join us on the 8th at LaFortune Park Clubhouse for some good old fashioned tailgate/college games. If you don’t show, I will know you were truly scared of my amazing Cornhole abilities. If you just want to be thoroughly entertained, you can enjoy the included Hor d’oeuvres and free refreshments while you watch. Tickets at Tulsaskiclub.com.
I'd also like to note that the Board is proposing a revision of Tulsa Ski Club Membership dues. The proposal can be found at the end of this Liftline. The vote will be held at the next General Meeting on January 9th, 2018.
